Our lead climbing class is a must have for any gym climber looking to take their newly acquired skills into the outdoor climbing arena.
This class focuses on advanced techniques and rope systems required to safely lead climb at all heights and difficulties. Topics which will be covered include:
- Introduction to lead climbing equipment
- Lead climbing techniques
- Lead belay techniques
- Top-rope setup
- Top-rope cleaning
- Rope management
- Equipment care and maintenance
This class requires an understanding of the basic techniques of climbing and of climber safety. It is recommended (not required) that each climber has some outdoor climbing experience prior to taking this class.
